  • Villa Montclair Residents Receive Certificates of Achievement for Attending Nutrition Class

    Augusta would like to congratulate our 10 graduates from the University of California's Expanded Food & Nutrition Program hosted at Villa Montclair! Over the past 8 weeks, park residents met on Monday mornings in the park clubhouse to learn all about healthy eating habits and how to lead active lifestyles from Community Education Specialist, Almalinda Conley. Class topics included, varying your veggies, building strong bones, and going lean with protein. Participants received weekly food tastings and take-home incentives. Participants completed the series of 8 lessons and received a graduation certificate from the University of California. Congrats to our recent grads!

  • Valentine's Day Movie and Cupcake Decorating

    Valentine's Day Movie and Cupcake Decorating was so fun at Villa Montclair last week! Thank you for everyone who came and participated. All of the cupcakes were decorated so lovely and The Lady and the Tramp movie was definitely a hit!

  • Villa Montclair's Emergency Preparedness Night was a Big Hit!

    On Tuesday, September 17th, Augusta Communities hosted a park-wide Emergency Preparedness Night in the clubhouse. Officer Eric Ruziecki, of the Montclair Police Department and Angelic Bird, of the Montclair Fire Department gave a comprehensive presentation on disaster preparedness for Villa MOntclair residents. Ms. Bird explained the five steps to being prepared, gave tips on creating an emergency earthquake kit, and broke down how to create a personal evacuation plan. Prizes were distributed to residents that got involved in the lecture and correctly answered questions. An opportunity prize drawing was also conducted at the close of the event. Augusta provided complimentary wraps, chips and salsa, and strawberry lemonade to all in attendance. Thank you to everyone that came together to make this important community resource event a great success!

  • Renowned Ventriloquist Performs at Villa Montclair

    On Friday July 19th youth and counselors from Villa Montclair's summer camp enjoyed a performance by Christine Barger, a well-known ventriloquist and actress. Barger played games, told jokes, and entertained the group with several sketches on overcoming hardships and making friends. Barger has been featured in shows such as "iCarly" and "Wizards of Waverly Place" as well as acted in films.
